Here’s a bunch of stuff I want to do while I’m in Korea. It will probably be changing and evolving constantly, so check back!

Seoul

1. Visit Lotte World

2. Visit the Coex Mall (world’s largest underground mall)

3. Visit Gyeongbukgung Palace

4. Visit Bukchon Hanok Village

5. Visit Namdaemun Market

6. Walk along Cheonggyecheon Stream

7. Attend South Korea Queer Culture Festival (late May to early June)

8. Visit “You Are Here” Cafe

Busan

1. Attend Busan International Film Festival

2. Go shopping at Shinsegae (world’s largest department store)

3. Visit Busan Museum of Art

4. Go hiking in Busan

5. Visit Gamcheon Culture Village

Ulsan

1. Visit the Whale Museum

Jeju

1. Eat black pork

Daegu

1. Attend the chicken and beer festival (mid-July)

Gyeongju

1. Visit Bulguksa Temple

2. Visit Gyeongju National Museum

3. Visit Cheomseongdae Observatory

4. Visit Anapji Pond (at night)

Miscellaneous

1. Try on traditional hanbok

2. Visit a jjimjilbang

3. Go to the beach

4. Visit a fish market

5. Attend a cherry blossom festival (Jinhae perhaps?)

6. Attend a KPop concert

7. Drink soju

8. Visit a pet cafe

9. Participate in a Buddhist temple stay (Beomeosa?)

  1. Gyeongbukgung Palace is nice. Bukchon Hanok Village and Cheonggyecheon Stream were more hype than substance, but you may get more out of than I did. But the Daegu Chicken and Beer and Body Painting Festival are the real deal. If you like hikes, Apsan Mtn and the cable car are nice too. Beomeosa, eh… jjimjilbang definitely. And I hate K-pop SOOOOO much!! lol Have fun!!

    • Thanks for the tips! I haven’t heard of the Body Painting Festival, but that sounds rad! I honestly don’t like KPop too much, either, but I think it would be an experience to go to a show while I’m here. I like hiking, too. So I’ll definitely look into Apsan Mountain 😀
